FRAUNHOFER ISE for PTC DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & TESTING 

The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE creates the technological foundations for supplying energy efficiently and on an environmentally sound basis in industrialized, threshold and developing countries. With its research focusing on energy conversion, energy efficiency, energy distribution and energy storage, it contributes to the broad application of new technology. For the transformation of the thermal energy systems, solar thermal energy is a central component alongside energy efficiency. How this role is interpreted in different national economies and climatic zones also depends on cost developments in production and distribution. Research and development can make its contribution by developing more cost-effective materials, manufacturing processes and complete systems which will be adopted by Swathi Sunsource under the guidance of Fraunhofer ISE

 

ALANOD- MIRO-SUN® for REFLECTIVE SHEET

MIRO-SUN® is one of the selective absorptive layer systems for solar collectors and has revolutionised solar thermal applications. Where previously absorptive surfaces made of copper were used, today aluminium has taken over on a worldwide basis. An innovative absorptive surface from Alanod-Solar® that has changed the entire market. MIRO-SUN® solar mirrors have a total solar reflectivity of between 85 % and 95 %.Alanod provides sustainable, regenerative solutions.

 

SCHOTT for RECEIVER TUBES

SCHOTT PTR®70 is the 4th generation of receivers, which benefits from the experience of more than 1 Million receivers installed in over 50 CSP projects worldwide. The new generation SCHOTT PTR®70 again sets the benchmark in product performance and provides superior product durability and lifetime. The SCHOTT PTR®70 is designed for usage in state-of-the-art power plants operating with oil-based heat transfer fluids at temperatures up to 400°C. It ensures stable performance, higher efficiency through lower heat losses, improved handling and robustness.

 

THERMINOL for THERMIC FLUID

Therminol VP-1 heat transfer fluid is an ultra-high temperature synthetic heat transfer fluid designed to meet the demanding requirements of vapor phase systems or liquid phase systems . It is a synthetic heat transfer fluid which combines exceptional thermal stability and low viscosity for efficient, dependable, uniform performance in a wide optimum use range of 12°C to 400°C (54°F to 750°F ). Therminol VP-1 has the highest thermal stability of all organic heat transfer fluids.Therminol VP-1 has a low viscosity to 12°C (54°F). Because of its crystallization point of 12°C (54°F), this fluid may require tracing in colder climates to avoid operational problems. Due to its ability to operate as a vapor phase heat transfer fluid, Therminol VP-1 is excellent for use in heat transfer fluid systems requiring very precise temperature control.

 

ROYAL CSP for SOLAR VACUUM RECEIVERS

RTUVR® solar vacuum receiver is the core component of Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) plants. The stable power generation and overall economic benefit of power plants with a 25 years life cycle, which largely depends on solar vacuum receivers’ optical efficiency and long term reliability. Benefitted from the creative automatic Glass to Metal Sealing technology and manufacturing process, RTUVR receivers have excellent optical efficiency and thermal durability, thus can ensure stable and reliable output of CSP plants throughout the lifetime.
